Kris DuBose
Kris joined Dr. Pittman’s staff in 2010. Her passion is creating a wonderful work environment. She is thrilled to be part of Dr. Pittman’s team, whom continues to strive to exceed patient’s expectations. Kris is a graduate of The University of Georgia and has 18 years of medical management experience. Her favorite past-time is sharing sports with her family. She is happily married and a mother of three girls. Her husband and oldest daughter are high school basketball coaches. Her middle daughter is a student at North Georgia College and coaches cheerleading. Kris is proud to say that she is the loudest fan at her youngest daughter’s basketball games at Georgia Southern University.
Dan Bartlett, CRNA, MA
Dan has worked as our Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist since 2003. Dan has provides our patients with a level of skill and experience that is of upmost importance in such a crucial role. Prior to beginning his career, Dan served in the US Army, where he earned both a purple heart and a bronze star. He then went on to receive his nursing degree from West Virginia where he played football. Upon graduation, Dan attended the United Hospital School of Anesthesia, and completed his MA in 1972. In 1975, Dan was the first to employ epidural anesthesia. He has served as President of the Tennessee Association of Nurse Anesthetists, and is currently on the Board of the Georgia Association of Nurse Anesthetists. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and Georgia Football.
April Brown, RN
April joined our practice in 2005. She started out as our recovery room nurse and working in the operating room. April is now the Director of our practice. April is responsible for the state licensing and AAAHC certification and understands the importance of patient safety and privacy. She is knowledgeable on every aspect of the surgery center. She works very closely with Dr. Pittman and the entire surgery center staff to ensure the best surgical experience possible for the patient. April’s favorite part of her job is getting to experience and see the amazing transformations of the patients. When April is not working, she is spending time with her husband and two adorable children.
Michele Pemberton
Michele joined Dr. Pittman’s practice in 2001. She is a University of Georgia graduate and former flight attendant. Michele understands that every patient has different needs and expectations and she strives to understand those needs and makes sure they are met. She guides the patients through their consultations and on to surgery. Her favorite part of her job is getting to know each patient personally. She has worked so closely with Dr. Pittman for so long, she is the perfect patient liaison. Michele loves spending her free time at the lake with her family and enjoys water skiing.
Freida Floyd
Freida is our insurance coordinator and joined Dr. Pittman’s practice in 2008. She has 20 years of experience in medical billing and insurance. She will confidently handle any problem or question you may have regarding your account. She is passionate about ensuring that you get the assistance you need in receiving payment from the insurance company. Freida was born and raised and the Athens area. She is very proud to work for Dr. Pittman and describes him as a wonderful and compassionate family man. She devotes her free time to her family and enjoys being at the beach…any beach!
Darlene Hendsbee
Darlene joined Dr. Pittman’s staff in August 2010. She is truly a patient advocate in getting insurance companies to pay for medically necessary surgeries. She can be very aggressive with the insurance companies when they are giving the patients the run-around on payments. She has been in the medical field for 12 years, most of those specializing in insurance and billing. She spent 4 years in patient billing at one of the local hospitals working in their Emergency Room Department. Her experience is just what our patients need to help them with their claims. Darlene moved to Georgia after being raised in Kentucky. She is a newlywed and has two beautiful daughters and enjoys going to the movies, complete with popcorn and milk duds!
Natalie Hudgens, RN
Natalie is our recovery nurse in the Surgery Center. She assists in getting patients ready before going to the operating room and in waking them from surgery safely and comfortably. Natalie reviews post-operative instructions with the patient’s friend or family member prior to discharge and can answer any questions they have on the day of surgery. She has been a part of our team since January 2009 and when she is not working, she enjoys visiting North Carolina.
Janet Teseniar, CST
Janet joined our practice in 2009 as our Certified Surgical Technician and assists Dr. Pittman during surgery. She is constantly working behind-the-scenes to prepare the operating room for surgery. She enjoys camping with her family. Janet is married and a proud mother of a daughter and a son.
