Board certified Athens plastic surgeon Dr. Pittman performs rhinoplasty to reshape your nose. He performs nose surgery if you are dissatisfied with the size or shape of your nose or if you have trouble breathing. If you are experiencing breathing problems, Dr. Pittman may perform a septoplasty, which is internal nasal surgery. Dr. Pittman, board certified plastic surgeon and member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons focusing on cosmetic surgery, performs rhinoplasty by removing the “hump,” refining a rounded or thick tip and narrowing the nose. Rhinoplasty in Athens, Georgia with Dr. Pittman can improve the proportions of your nose and face, creating a more symmetrical, pleasing appearance.

Rhinoplasty surgery in Athens with board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Pittman is done on an out-patient basis under general anesthesia at  our private, fully accredited surgical facility, offering patient comfort and avoiding hospital costs. Please note that the eyelid area as well as the nose itself may become bruised and swollen. Dr. Pittman may give you nasal packing for the first few days. He usually outfits you with an external nose splint as well. 7-10 days after your rhinoplasty in Georgia, Dr. Pittman removes the splint. Dr. Pittman uses dissolving stitches for inside the nose, and he will remove any external stitches a week after your nose surgery in Athens. He is careful to hide any incisions either inside your nose or across the fleshy area between your nostrils. It may take six months to a year to fully appreciate your beautiful results and the improved balance of your face.
