Dr. Ed Pittman offers CoolSculpting® treatments as a non-invasive method to reduce unwanted, stubborn fat for both men and women.*
CoolSculpting® is an FDA-cleared, non-surgical method for reducing stubborn fat in the abdomen and flanks (love handles). It can also be used to treat areas such as the arms, back, thighs, and buttocks.*
Using a process called Cryolipolysis, CoolSculpting® takes very little time (usually 1 hour per treatment) and does not require anesthesia, incisions, needles, scars, sutures or even recovery time.* Our private and comfortable CoolSculpting® treatment room allows patients to work on a lap top, read a book, or simply relax during treatment. Patients enjoy the benefit of returning to daily activities with no downtime after this fat reduction procedure.*
The first practice in Athens, Georgia to offer CoolSculpting®, Pittman Plastic Surgery is also the first in the area to provide two CoolSculpting® machines (DualSculpting™) for faster treatment times and the ability to treat more than one area at a time.
This fat reduction technology applies targeted cold to areas of unwanted fat. Susan, our CoolSculpting® Specialist will meet with each patient to discuss a treatment plan for targeted areas. CoolSculpting® is an in-office procedure that requires no pain medicine or anesthesia. The device is positioned on the body where select fat is targeted. With an initial pulling sensation to ensure the selected areas are chilled efficiently, the cooling process removes a portion of the fat cells underneath the skin.* After the procedure, the body’s lymphatic system gradually disposes of the affected fat cells.*
CoolSculpting® is not a weight loss solution. Susan will consult with each patient to determine target areas and if you are a good candidate. For patients who require removal of larger areas of fat, Pittman Plastic Surgery also offers liposuction and abdominoplasty.
